Founded by Mitch Phy, a former executive in banking and insurance and a business owner for over 20 years, Sober Beginning was born from personal rock bottom. After battling a 12-year war with alcohol, Mitch lost nearly everything: his career, his marriage, and even temporary custody of his daughter.

"I checked every box society told me would make me successful—but behind closed doors, I was unraveling. Alcohol became my escape… until it cost me everything that actually mattered.”

After completing a full year of treatment—through every level of care—and working with a therapist, psychiatrist, and AA sponsor, Mitch found that no one program alone could offer the full solution.

He took the most powerful pieces from each—clinical tools, spiritual recovery, performance strategies, and emotional rewiring—and created the program he wished existed:
